And from this I played with some ideas for pockets and containment.

The pocket idea on RHS corner is inspired by the shell in 5/7/2
My first sample is a a small flat shell like structure that is enclosed in a shape cut from layers of heat bonded sheers and is inspired by the top left sketch above. The layers were hand stitched together in a spiral, which was then cut and the stitches were used to thread a metal wire through.

The next pocket is a set of three Shibori shapes in metallic organza, which have had Mica flakes inserted into them and then the piece was bonded with bondaweb granules to a pocket of nylon sheer. It was inspired by sea anemones.

I then moved on to trapping small shards of metallic materials and lace between 2 layers of plastic and sealing the edges with a hot iron. Then I added some hand stitch.

And finally I tried the same technique with a plastic sandwich, some lace samples and stitched them together though all layers on the sewing machine.
