Module 5 chapter 3

For this chapter I've worked with suspended shapes using stitch methods. I've used a variety of sheers to produce a selection of samples that give the impression of floating shapes, using my historical research as inspiration.

5/3/1

Sample collection photographed on hand made paper

5/3/2
Scrim, silk organza, metallic organza, nylon sheer and beads.

5/3/3

Silk organza and layers of nylon sheer which were then slashed.
5/3/4

Gold metalic organza as an underlay, with silk organza and sheer over the top.

5/3/5

All 3 floating layers worked from under a top layer of silk organza

5/3/5

A little silver lace was added for a bit of a lift.
